Ask your AI about a person, not just a record.
Connect Nimble to Claude or ChatGPT, and your CRM takes instructions like an assistant would. No forms. No menus.
Included in every Nimble plan. No add-on, no upgrade, no charge per request.
- Runs operations for Meridian's 400-person services group; you met at the operations summit in June 2023 through Marcus.
- Last exchange 18 days ago — she asked about onboarding timelines and hasn't had an answer.
- You promised a reference customer in the same industry. Not sent.
- Marcus's note from June: budget approved for Q1.
- Since you last spoke: quoted in Supply Chain Dive on vendor consolidation — worth raising.
- Nothing scheduled after today.
What is it?
You already use AI assistants like Claude or ChatGPT to write and research. Until now, they couldn’t see your CRM, so they didn’t know your customers. Nimble MCP connects the two. Your AI can now read your Nimble contacts and history, and update Nimble when you tell it what happened.
Why it matters
Most CRMs fail for one reason: nobody keeps them updated. With Nimble MCP, you don’t open Nimble to log a call. You just tell your AI, “Met Sarah, she wants a proposal by Friday”, and the note, the contact and the follow-up are done.
MCP stands for Model Context Protocol, the standard way to connect AI assistants to business apps. You don’t need to know anything else about it.
After the call, the CRM does the paperwork.
The logging and follow-up nobody gets around to after a meeting? Nimble MCP hands that work to your AI.
Finish the call. It's recorded.
When Zoom, Otter or your favorite notetaker emails you the transcript, Claude or ChatGPT uses Nimble MCP to log a call summary on the contact's record, assign next steps to each teammate who was on the call, set reminders for what the other side promised, book the follow-up on your Nimble calendar and draft a thank-you recap email for you to review and send. Set it up once as a scheduled task and it runs on its own.
Don't record your meetings? Paste in your notes, or just say what happened in a sentence: "Met Sarah, she's interested, follow up in two weeks."
Before every meeting, you get a briefing: who they are, how you met, every interaction with you and your team, what each of you promised, what's still open, and the latest news on them and their company.
You used to brief your AI. Now it already knows.
Until now, a useful answer meant pasting in the context first — who this person is, what you last discussed, what you promised. With Nimble connected, your assistant reads all of that from your CRM. Skip the briefing and just ask.
The whole history, not a record
Emails, calls, meetings, notes and tasks, woven together in order. What actually passed between two people — which is a different question from what stage a deal is in.
Built around people
Most software connecting to AI exposes records and pipeline. Nimble exposes the relationship — the thing that keeps its value long after any particular deal closes.
It protects your database
Checks for duplicates before creating anyone. Adds to fields instead of overwriting them. Deleted contacts go to a recoverable trash bin. Your permissions still apply.
Four jobs, one conversation.
Prep for the meeting. Log it afterwards. Clean up what's gone stale. Find more people like your best customers. Each one is a sentence, not a screen.
Walk in briefed
Say who you're about to meet and you get the whole picture: who they are and where they work, how you met, every interaction with you and your team, the last conversation, the open action items on both sides, what's scheduled next — and what they've said publicly since you last spoke. The three minutes before a call stop being a scramble through tabs.
Clean up what's gone stale
Everything you type about a person goes out of date within a year or three. Ask which contacts have no working email, whose title has changed, where the duplicates are — and who has quietly gone quiet. The assistant researches, Nimble updates and merges, and you approve each change.
Know your best customers — and find more of them
Ask what your top accounts have in common and you get an ideal-customer profile built from who actually renewed, not the whiteboard. Then have the assistant find more companies like them, with the person who'd own the decision, and file every one properly — custom fields, tags, the research attached as a note. Nimble checks for duplicates before creating anyone.
No exports. No tab-hopping. No copy-pasting.
No exports
Your relationships move into the conversation without a spreadsheet in sight.
No switching
Nimble and your assistant live in the same window.
No re-explaining
The assistant reads your business context, so it already knows who you are.
No setup beyond one connection
Connect once. Your plan, your data and your permissions come with you.
Three steps, about two minutes.
Works with Claude and ChatGPT. No API key, no developer, no technical work. Full step-by-step for each is on the setup page at app.nimble.com/mcp.
Add the connector
In your assistant's settings, choose to add a custom or remote connector. Name it Nimble and keep the detected authentication defaults — you don't need a token.
Sign in to Nimble
Click Connect and a Nimble sign-in page appears. Approve access, and your assistant can see exactly what your Nimble permissions already allow — nothing more.
Switch it on and ask
Turn the connector on in any conversation and start asking. Not sure where to begin? Take one of the prompts below and adapt it.
Paste the whole address, including https:// — some clients
reject a bare domain. The Nimble sign-in appears the moment your assistant makes the connection —
no token, no API key.
Set up Nimble in Claude or ChatGPT.
Prefer step-by-step for your own assistant? The connector address is the same everywhere — only the menu names change.
Nimble for Claude
Read a person's full history, file research and capture follow-ups inside Claude on web, desktop or mobile. Connect once and it travels with your account.
- Open Settings → Connectors and choose Add custom connector
- Name it Nimble and paste
https://app.nimble.com/mcp - Keep the detected authentication defaults, then click Add
- Click Connect and approve the Nimble sign-in
- In any chat, open the + menu and switch Nimble on
Connectors are set on your account, so this works across web, desktop and the mobile apps.
Two
Nimble accounts? Sign out of the first in your browser, then add a second connector using
https://app.nimble.com/mcp2 and
authorize with the second account.
Nimble for ChatGPT
Bring your relationships into ChatGPT so it can answer from your own history instead of guessing — and file what you find without leaving the conversation.
- Open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode — ChatGPT won't accept a custom MCP server without it
- Go to Plugins → Personal, click +, and paste
https://app.nimble.com/mcp; keep authentication set to OAuth and accept the testing notice - Complete the Nimble sign-in when prompted
- Enable Nimble in the conversation before you start asking
Works on ChatGPT Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu, and ChatGPT asks you to approve each change. You only need Developer mode once, to add Nimble; after that it works in any chat. It's only a setting name; there's nothing to code.
Skip the blank page. Start with a prompt.
Copy one, change the parts in braces, and see what your own relationships look like from the other side.
Hand it the transcript
Here's the transcript from my call with {name}. Log the call with a summary, create the follow-ups for me and {teammate} with dates, set a reminder for what {name} committed to, book the follow-up on my Nimble calendar, move the deal to the right stage, and draft the recap email.
Put it on autopilot
Check my email for new meeting transcripts that haven't been handled yet. For each, log the call, create the tasks for my team, set reminders for what the other side promised, and draft a thank-you recap email. Don't send anything.
Walk in briefed
I'm meeting {name} from {company} in thirty minutes — brief me. Who they are, how we met, everything my team and I have had with them, our last exchange, what each of us promised, what's still open, and anything they've said publicly since.
Find the people quietly slipping
Which of my clients haven't I spoken to in more than {60} days? For each one, tell me when we last spoke, what we discussed, and whether I owe them anything.
Build a list properly, in one pass
Find current journalists covering {topic}. For each, check whether they're already in Nimble. Add the new ones with their outlet and beat in custom fields, tag them {segment}, and attach a note on what they cover and why they're worth approaching.
Answer "do we know anyone there?"
Who do we already know at {company}? Show me everyone in Nimble connected to them, how recently each was in contact, and who on our team knows them best.
Capture it while it's fresh
Log my call with {name}. Add a note covering {what was discussed}, update their record with {what changed}, and create a task to {next step} by {date}.
Turn a description into a segment
Find everyone tagged {tag} who works in {industry} and hasn't been contacted since {date}. Save that as a segment I can use again, and tell me who's missing an email address.
Revisit the ones who got away
Find strong candidates from the last two years who we didn't hire and haven't spoken to since. For each, remind me what the role was and why they stood out.
Ask the product about itself
How do I set up a workflow in Nimble, and what's the difference between a workflow and a sequence? Then walk me through setting one up for {situation}.
What it doesn't do — yet.
We'd rather you hear the limits from us than discover them.
Which Claude and ChatGPT plans work
Every Claude plan works, including Free, which allows one custom connector — enough for Nimble. In ChatGPT, Nimble works on Pro, Business, Enterprise and Edu, and ChatGPT asks you to approve each change. Scheduling a task to run on its own needs a paid plan.
Several Nimble accounts take a second connector
Work across two Nimble accounts? Add a second connector using
https://app.nimble.com/mcp2
and authorize it with the second account. Both then run at the same time.
It doesn't send email for you
It can read the email connected to Nimble and write replies, which you copy, or save as Gmail drafts if your assistant's Gmail connector is on. You always send them. That one is deliberate.
A few things still happen in Nimble
It creates and updates deals and moves them between stages, but marking a deal won or lost is done in Nimble. Meetings it books go on your Nimble calendar without sending invitations or appearing in Google or Outlook. Sequences are read-only. We ship improvements continuously, so tell us what you'd want next: devadmin@nimble.com.
Questions about Nimble MCP
What is Nimble MCP?
Nimble MCP is a connector that lets Claude or ChatGPT work with your Nimble account. It lets your assistant read your Nimble relationships and act on them: finding people, reading the full history with someone, creating and updating contacts, tagging and segmenting, capturing notes, tasks and calls, managing deals, booking meetings on your Nimble calendar and reading the email connected to Nimble.
Which AI assistants does it work with?
Claude on any plan, including Free, and ChatGPT Pro, Business, Enterprise or Edu. Setup for each takes about two minutes and is on the setup page at app.nimble.com/mcp.
Does it cost extra?
No. Nimble MCP is included in every Nimble plan and every seat — no add-on, no premium tier, and no charge per request. Nimble plans start at $24.90 per seat per month billed annually, or $29.90 billed monthly.
What can my assistant actually see?
Exactly what you can see, and nothing more. Access is governed by your existing Nimble permissions, so connecting an assistant doesn't widen anyone's access to your data.
Can it damage my data?
We built it to make that difficult. Before creating a contact, Nimble checks whether that person already exists and returns the possible matches for you to review rather than quietly creating a second record. Adding information to a field adds to what's there instead of replacing it — so giving someone a new email address doesn't remove the ones already on file. Deleted contacts go to a recoverable trash bin. And your assistant asks before it acts.
Is the connector address also a web page?
Yes. app.nimble.com/mcp is both the address your AI assistant connects to and the setup page, with step-by-step instructions for Claude and ChatGPT. Paste it into your assistant's connector settings exactly as written, including https://. The Nimble sign-in appears when the assistant makes the connection.
Is it still changing?
Yes, and quickly. Everything on this page works today, and we ship improvements continuously. Tell us what you'd want next at devadmin@nimble.com.
I don't see the new features. What do I do?
After an update, refresh the tools in your Nimble connector settings, then start a new chat. Chats you already had open keep the old list of tools.
Where can I find more prompts?
The Nimble MCP recipes page has 82 copy-and-paste prompts, from a five-second lookup to a whole meeting's follow-up. Every one says whether it only reads, asks before writing, or drafts without sending.
Do I need a developer to set this up?
No. There's no API key, no configuration file and no code. You add the address as a connector in your assistant's settings, sign in to Nimble, and approve access.
Can I limit what it's allowed to do?
Yes. Most AI clients let you review each action before it runs, and block individual tools you'd rather not have available. If you'd prefer your assistant never delete anything, you can switch those tools off in your client's connector settings.
Two minutes from now, your AI could know your people.
