You have probably been through a similar scenario: you’ve returned from an event and you pull a stack of business cards out of your pocket. You know you need to follow up, but you don’t want to take the time for the tedious task of entering everyone into your CRM.. Ideally, you bring them into your CRM so you can start nurturing these relationships. Do you feel like typing all of their info in? Of course not! We have technology that can do these things for us. 😉
This is an overview of how you can combine Nimble and CircleBack’s business card scanner to easily create new contacts just by taking a picture. Before you get started, you’ll need to have both the CircleBack and Nimble apps installed on your iPhone.

Go to the “App Store” on your phone and download the CircleBack App for free. When you launch the app, click on “Analyze My Contacts” to create an account.
2) Enable CircleBack to Sync with your iPhone Contacts
You will have to turn on contact sync with CircleBack to your iPhone to allow Nimble to sync contacts you scan with Circleback. Get started by going to “Settings” in CircleBack. Click on “Sync” -> click “Install Profile” and follow instructions (CircleBack will automatically take you to the “Profiles” on your iPhone. Just hit “Install” in the top right corner).
* [In case you are wondering where you can access “Profiles” on your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Profile]
After hitting “Done”, an info screen pops-up where you can review what is happening in the background. To return to the CircleBack app, press “View your Dashboard”.
3) Click on the “Scan Business Card” option
4) Scan Your Business Card
After scanning, CircleBack will let you review the information and if everything is correct, hit “Save”.
Your contact will now appear in your phone like our example below:
5) Download the Nimble App + Log in
6) Go to Settings and Click on “Contacts” to Sync Contacts to Nimble.
Create a tag on this screen to help you identify the contacts you sync from your iPhone to Nimble when you use Nimble in your web browser.
You can choose to either “Sync Now” or “Sync Periodically”. If you select “Sync Periodically”, Nimble will upload new contacts hourly in the background.
Click on “Contacts” in your Nimble mobile app and select “Recently Added” to see all the contacts that were just brought in from your phone.
Let’s find Mike and make sure that the tag was added.
Yup. All good!
