Instagram, the photo sharing app and social network which allows users to easily add filters to images taken on their mobile devices, quickly grew into a social media favorite. Earlier this month Kevin Systrom, cofounder of the app, told TechCrunch it has surpassed 27 million registered users. Systrom didn’t say how many daily active users they have; however, he did say that 67 percent of them used the app yesterday.

With a user base that high there is no doubt that many companies should take the time to create branded accounts. Wondering what to take pictures of? Here’s a little help…

Facebook has quietly announced a new feature called Offers which will replace check-in deals.  Facebook Offers are coupons a business can post to its wall. When someone claims an Offer he or she will receive an email that can be shown in-store to redeem a discount.
